Figueras and Girona
Let us show you these lesser-known gems of Catalonia accompanied
by a specialised guide.
Close to Barcelona and located midway between the sea and the mountains, the city of Girona boasts a privileged position. The Old Town
is one of the most evocative historical centres in Catalonia, with certain elements that are unique in Europe: the Carolingian wall, an exceptionally well conserved Jewish quarter, and the grandeur of the Cathedral’s Gothic nave, the widest in the world. On top of all that, this beautiful town offers a wide variety of little shops, bars, restaurants and cosy terraces where you
can have a drink and something to eat.
After our visit of Girona we continue our trip to Figueras, home to Dali’s Theatre-Museum, the largest surrealistic object in the world. It occupies the building of the former Municipal Theatre, a 19th century construction which was destroyed at the end of the Spanish Civil War. On its ruins, Dalí decided to create his museum. You will definitively love it!
After visiting the museum, you get the chance to visit the town of Figueras.
